Empowering Youth for a Sustainable Future: The Role of Mental Well-being in Addressing Current Challenges.

Hosted during the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, this conference will tackle the urgent mental health challenges facing today's youth.

This interactive session—co-hosted by the IBREA Foundation (www.ibrea foundation.org) and the Permanent Missions of Malawi and Ireland, —will explore how fostering mental resilience can empower young people to overcome adversity, build strong leadership, and contribute to addressing our most pressing global issues in an effective and sustainable way. With contributions from youth leaders, experts, and UN representatives, the event will highlight the connection between mental well-being and youth empowerment, while also discussing cross-generational collaboration and how we can best support young minds in transforming the pressures of today's rapidly changing world into new, creative energies that problem-solve and create new pathways. Key insights will be shared on integrating mental resilience into global youth development strategies, aligning with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, and fostering partnerships across governments, civil society, and the private sector.
Join us in shaping a future where youth not only survive but thrive, and lead the transformative change we desperately need.
